ABÚ DHABÍ, 20. 02. 2023 On the occasion of 30 years of the existence of an independent Czech state, the Jagello 2000 association is organizing a year-long strategic communication project, the subtitle of which is “Great stories from the heart of Europe”. One of the largest and most important defence and security fairs, IDEX in Abu Dhabi, begins today, where the first part of the project will take place.
The story of the Czech Republic is the story of a successful democratic transformation process. The country has integrated itself into the international scene through membership in the European Union, NATO, and other international organizations as well as in the international market. “The time period since 1989 is completely unprecedented for the Czech Republic in its modern history. And that both from the perspective of democracy and economic prosperity, and from the point of view of ensuring security, the basis of which are security guarantees”, says Zbyněk Pavlačík, the chairman of Jagello 2000, association which is the project coordinator. “This period is already longer than the total period of existence of the first republic”, adds Pavlačík.
The Czech Republic undoubtedly belongs to the top on the international scene in the field of defence and security industry. The 30th anniversary of independence is therefore a great opportunity to showcase our country’s unique professional capabilities. Jagello 2000 prepared a comprehensive presentation with the aim of promoting the visibility of Czech official participation at prestigious international fairs. The presentation of the Czech defence and security industry was created in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic, the Association of the Defence and Security Industry of the Czech Republic and the Association of the Aerospace Industry.
The aim of the project is therefore to communicate the achievements of the Czech Republic on the domestic and foreign scene. Throughout the year, a number of other activities are planned – conferences, discussions, and debates – for example in the United States of America, Germany, Poland, and Israel.
The project of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Czech Republic takes place under the auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavský, and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Rastislav Káčer. The general partner of the project is Czechoslovak Group, the exclusive partner is Lockheed Martin.
